ps: thanks goes to LilburneHone for offering me premium membership, i wouldn't have found out about this contest otherwise.
The concept for this image is wonderful and it was executed very well. The position of the x-ray is spot on and the posing draws your attention straight to the xray. I love they way you can see through it in parts. The translucency of the x-ray and how it blends with the figure makes this image something I can continue to stare at for quite a while. The plain background also adds to the impact of the figure and the clinical feeing of the image as a whole.
There image is crisp, sharp, and well exposed, however the extremely dark shadow on the model's left arm is somewhat distracting. It looks a bit off and flattens out that area. I am of two minds about the shadow behind the figure. I like it because it adds a little starkness to the clinical feel and definition to that side of the figure, but I also feel like the image might benefit from a softer shadow to bring even more focus to the xray and face of the figure.
Overall, I love the image. I especially like the details of the eyelashes and darkly painted nails. I also enjoy the asymmetry of the hair and arm holding the xray on one side. Wonderful work.
